Who we are
Jinjuta Massage Therapy, 3 De Lunn Buildings, Jewry Street, Winchester, SO23 8SA. Email: info@jinjutamassagetherapy.co.uk. We decide how and why your personal information is used, which makes us the “data controller” under UK data protection law.
What we collect and why
- Enquiries and bookings: your name, email, phone number (if you give one), preferred treatment and message, sent through our enquiry form, email or WhatsApp. We use it to reply to you and arrange your appointment.
- Health information: at your first appointment we ask you to complete a medical form (injuries, pregnancy, medical conditions). We use it only to treat you safely. This is sensitive information, and we ask for it with your explicit consent. You can decline, but we may then be unable to treat you. For clients under 18, a parent or guardian signs the form.
- Payments: you pay in cash on the day. We keep basic records of sessions and payments for our accounts.
Our lawful reasons
To arrange and provide the service you asked for; your explicit consent for health information; our legitimate interest in running the business; and legal obligations such as keeping accounts.
Who sees your information
We do not sell your information or use it for advertising. It passes only through the services we use to run the website and reply to you: our web host, FormSubmit (which delivers form messages to our email), our email provider and WhatsApp. If you message us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp processes that message under its own terms and privacy policy. We may share information if the law requires it, or to protect someone’s safety.
This website
This website sets no cookies and has no analytics or advertising trackers. Its fonts are stored on our own server, so no request is made to Google when a page loads. “Get directions” opens Google Maps in a new tab.
How long we keep it
- Client and health records: 7 years.
- Enquiries that do not become bookings: 12 months, then deleted.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, delete or restrict your information, object to how it is used, or ask for a copy to move elsewhere. Email us and we will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
